Cleaning Expertise & Specialist Solutions

The right approach starts with understanding the problem. NHJ brings practical janitorial experience and cleaning-product knowledge together to assess the surface, the soil and the working environment before recommending an approach.

Experience behind the approach

Our leadership experience includes the establishment of Nu Home Janitorial in 2002, extensive floor-care, disinfection and maintenance work, and a background in industrial and commercial cleaning chemicals and equipment. Our operations leadership includes more than 25 years managing janitorial services, supported by operations and pest-control training. This experience informs NHJ’s approach today.

Disinfection and sanitization

Cleaning removes soil; sanitization and disinfection have distinct application requirements. Product choice must suit the intended use, surface and current manufacturer instructions. Preparation, specified contact time and supervision matter. Deodorizing is not a substitute for disinfection.

How we approach a cleaning requirement

We begin with your concern, assess the surface and conditions, and select suitable methods and products. Staff instructions, precautions, supervision responsibilities and review arrangements are agreed for the assignment.

Choosing products to suit the job

Kemicals Worldwide is a principal source of product knowledge and technical support through our business relationship. NHJ and Kemicals Worldwide are separate companies under common management. NHJ assesses cleaning-service requirements; product-specific questions are referred for appropriate technical review. Recommendations may include suitable products from other manufacturers. Product suitability, surface compatibility and current instructions guide selection.

Explore cleaning topics

Disinfection and sanitization

Understand the purpose of cleaning, sanitizing and disinfecting, and the importance of preparation, product suitability, contact time and supervision. Specialist methods require their own assessment.

Explore the differences between routine cleaning, stripping, sealing and polishing. The floor material, existing coating and condition determine the appropriate approach.

Tile and grout

Consider soil, residues, grout condition and material compatibility before selecting a cleaning method. A dirty appearance does not always mean the surface needs stronger chemicals.

Washroom descaling

Distinguish removable dirt and mineral deposits from damaged finishes. Toilets, ceramic surfaces, grout and nearby fittings need separate compatibility checks.

Metal care

Understand why aluminium and stainless steel require different cleaning choices, and why cleaning, rust removal and polishing are distinct tasks.

Glass and exterior cladding

Assess glass, coatings and aluminium composite panels before selecting methods. The actual material, manufacturer guidance and access requirements guide the scope.
